Wait…WHAT?! Yeah, that’s right. My goal here was to combine the fruity sweetness of the ever-popular Belgian White styles with the delicious bitterness of an IPA. Hops give off a flavor and aroma that ranges from citrus-y sweetness to bitter, bitter pine forest, so I expect the citrus flavor to compliment well. So this is other going to be an awesome groundbreaking brew, or something to pawn off and house guests and watch as they cringe and say, “Oh…this is…good…yeah…”

- 1 Honey Tangerine Peel, roasted @ 250 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes
- 2 Clementine Peels, freshly peeled
- 6.6 lb. Light LME

- 8oz. Caramel 20L
- 3.5 oz. Cascade hops (bittering, ~45 minutes)

- 1/2 oz. Citra hops (flavoring/aroma, ~15 minutes)
- 2 oz. Cascade dry hops
- Nottingham Ale Yeast
OG: ~1.57
Special Directions: I steeped the clementine peels along with the specialty grains for the first 30 minutes — I brought the water to a boil, then turned the heat to LOW to keep it just below boiling while I steeped. The Honey Tangerine peel and the Dried Sweet Orange Peel were added in the last 10 minutes of the boil.
